I just like watching Nancy Waiving …it’s Teraputic for me.
wow that is really pretty…were can you get reed from?
Thanks and sorry for the multiple responses. It takes a long time for youtube to post adn I thought it did not go through
Yes, your braiding will curve into the basket. Sounds like you are doing it correctly. You can’t subsitiute this rim on EVERY basket but you can on many/most baskets. If you choose to do this rim on other baskets, just twine for two rows after your top row of weaving and tuck in all the stakes and continue with the braided rim like I did in the video. I think it makes a beautiful finish. E-mail me a picture of your completed basket. I’d love to show it off on my blog and link to your blog.
Hi Nancy,
I’ve been waiting for you to finish before doing my rim. My braiding curves in, does not go up. Is this correct? I like this rim but I need to practice:) Can I substitute this rim on any basket? Thanks again – Claire
Thanks Nancy. I waited until the end to do the rim. My braiding curves in, it does not go up. Is this correct? I like this rim, but I need to practice
. Can I substitute this rim on any basket?
Thanks again!!!
Hi Nancy,
Can I substitute this for any rim?
My braiding curves to the inside and not straight up. Is that correct ? I like this finish, but I need more practice
Thanks, Claire
Thanks Nancy
A really nice finish; thanks for helping to revive my interest in this great craft!
