Christmas cards – Store bought vs. handmade?
Question by Sam S: Christmas cards – Store bought vs. handmade?
If you received a handmade Christmas card from a family member or friend *last* year, would you be offended if that person sent a store-bought card *this* year?
I’ve been making handmade cards, but don’t want anyone to be upset next year if I send boxed cards!

If they’re offended, they’re just plain silly. At least you’re sending them a card. It isn’t all that common anymore. Unless they’re complete twits, they’ll realize that sometimes life catches up with you and you just don’t have all the time you used to have.

i personally won’t be offended!
i don’t think they’ll be offended if you send them a store-bought card. its the thought that counts. they’ll still appreciate may it be handmade or store bought
I would not be upset, because I have made homemade Christmas cards before and know how expensive it can get.
It is the thought that counts, and no I would not be offended.
I would not be offended. However, i would pick the handmade card anyday. There so much more personal and everything. But i would definetly not be offended, i might just assume that the person has more things to do these days. Good luck!
I am sure that they will be touched that you sent a card; it really is a forgotten art.
Hey, a card is a card. Sounds pretty odd to care about how it was made.
No reasonable person would be offended. Both kinds of cards can be beautiful depending on the design and message inside.
I make my own cards and most people don’t notice =(
its the thought that counts, they shouldn’t be offended at all. maybe you could write a long message in each of the cards im sure people would love that
People should be cool and not be offended if you send a store-bought card.
they shouldn’t be offended, but i usually make cards for my closes friends and family, and buy cards for the rest
Never, I would be glad to receive a store bought card. Also if they were just to call and wish me a Merry Christmas, I would not be offended. After all it’s the thought that counts!
